Structural, magnetic and electric properties of HoMnO3 films on SrTiO3(001)

► Ho-manganite films are antiferromagnets with large magnetodielectric effect. ► The Ho-sublattice magnetization is strongly anisotropic. ► Depending on structural quality the films show a ferromagnetic transition at 45 K. ► The ferromagnetism is most probably due to hausmannite precipitates.
