Polarity of magnetic field related magnetoelectric effects in heterotypic composite system of lead zirconate titanate and Terfenol-D

► We study the magnetoelectric coupling of a ring-shaped composite of Pb(Zr,Ti)O3/Terfenol-D. ► Plus and minus magnetoelectric effects synchronously appears on magnetoelectric spectrum. ► Polarity of the applied field decides the property of the magnetoelectric effects. ► Resonant peak locates at frequency of 69.6 kHz on the spectrum. ► Composite forms a “stress-field-controlled graded ferroelectrics”.
