Effect of chromium interlayer deposition on periodic silver nanoparticle array structure fabricated by nanosphere lithography

► Silver nanoparticles as fabricated by three different processes were provided. ► Chromium interlayer enhances the adherence of the particles to the substrate. ► Chromium interlayer should be deposited after the formation of the PS mask. ► Mechanisms for the enhanced adhesive ability were revealed.
