Recurrence of particles in static and time varying oval billiards

► We consider properties of escaping particles in an oval billiard. ► Two different decays for the recurrence time distribution were observed following an exponential decay for short times: a power law or stretched exponential. ► Time-dependent boundaries suppress the slower decay at later times.
