Wake potential and stopping power for a charged particle moving outside a nanosphere

► We study the wake effect in a nanosphere due to a moving charge particle. ► The induced potential is calculated based on the dielectric response theory. ► The V-shaped wake potential behind the particle motion cannot be observed clearly. ► The stopping power dependent on the particle speed and position is also obtained.
