Classification of resonance Regge trajectories and a modified Mulholland formula

► We analyze two generic types of resonance Regge trajectories. ► Each type produces a distinct type of pattern in integral cross-sections. ► Existing method fails to separate the resonance contribution efficiently. ► The problem is remedied by a simple modification of the method.
