On integrable rational potentials of the Dirac equation

► We study exact (Liouvillian) solutions of the Dirac equation with a rational potential. ► The integrability conditions are in general given implicitly by recurrence relations. ► We analyze the number of physical solutions of the recursive conditions. ► A new class of integrable potentials leading to the Whittaker equation is found.
