Ultra-high transmission of photonic nanojet induced modes in chains of core-shell microcylinders

► We report the ultra-high transmission of photonic nanojet induced modes. ► The photonic nanojet induced modes are dramatically enhanced by metal shell. ► The results provide a new tool to detect nano-objects below the diffraction limit.
