Compressive and rarefactive electromagnetic solitary structures in an opposite polarity dust-plasma medium

► Opposite polarity dust-plasma medium (OPDPM) has been considered. ► Electromagnetic (EM) solitary structures in such a novel OPDPM are studied. ► Compressive and rarefactive dust-magneto-acoustic solitary waves are observed. ► EM solitary structures in a such novel OPDPM are studied for the first time.
