Negative differential resistance in the unsymmetrical C121-based molecular junction

► The electronic transport properties of C121 molecule are studied for the first time. ► An obvious negative differential resistance (NDR) phenomenon is observed. ► The NDR is explained by relative shifts of LUMOs of two C60 moieties with bias.
