The influence of temporal coherence on the dynamical Casimir effect

► We study temporal coherence in the dynamical Casimir effect. ► We use the time refraction model for an optically modulated cavity. ► Temporal coherence is described with cavity quasi-mode operators. ► Temporal growth and saturation of photon emitted from vacuum is demonstrated.
