Inhibition of emetic and superantigenic activities of staphylococcal enterotoxin A by synthetic peptides

► Peptide A2, A3, A6 and A10 inhibited SEA-induced IFN-γ production of spleen cells. ► Peptide A2, A3, A6 and A10 attenuated SEA-induced lethal shock in animal model. ► Peptide A2, A3, A6 and A10 inhibited SEA-induced proliferation of shrew spleen cells. ► Peptide A2, A3 and A6 but not A10 inhibited SEA-induced emesis in house musk shrews.
