Variability in resistance-related enzyme activities in field populations of the tarnished plant bug, Lygus lineolaris

► Major detoxification enzymes were examined in the tarnished plant bug. ► Esterase, GST and AChE activities were surveyed in 43 field populations. ► Up to 5.3× esterase, 2× GST, and 2× AChE activities were detected. ► 52-76% esterase, 72-98% GST, and 93% AChE activities were suppressible.
