Competition of Passenger Dedicated Railways

This paper introduces a utility function about choosing behavior of passenger, and makes an improvement on the traditional Logit model. Through constructing a competition model of expressway and passenger dedicated railways, this paper analyses the competitive ability of the Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan passenger dedicated railway (Shi-Tai P-D railway) in China. Taking speed and fare as the crucial Perturbation variables, this paper does a sensitivity analysis about the competition of Shi-Tai P-D railway. The conclusion is helpful for promoting the management level and making the appropriate transport scheme to the Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan passenger dedicated line.
