► Aflatoxins can contaminate cereals (AFB1, AFB2) milk and dairy products (AFM1, AFM2). ► Immune system is one of the main target of aflatoxins. ► AFB1, AFB2, AFM1 and AFM2 alone and in mixture reduce NO production by J774A.1 cells. ► Aflatoxin do not induce cytotoxity and apoptosis but affect cell cycle. ► AFB1, AFB2, AFM1 and AFM2 may exert interactions affecting immunoreactivity.
