Efficient neuronal in vitro and in vivo differentiation after immunomagnetic purification of mESC derived neuronal precursors

► A new strategy for selection of ESC-derived neuronal progenitors is developed. ► Strategy relies on a single endogenous marker and avoids genetic modification. ► Enrichment based on PSA-NCAM expression improves neuronal differentiation of mESC. ► PSA-NCAM enriched progenitors survive, further differentiate and integrate in vivo. ► We report an approach to narrow cellular heterogeneity in neuronal differentiation.
