The cardiorespiratory and anesthetic effects of clinical and supraclinical doses of alfaxalone in cats

Alfaxalone produced dose-dependent anesthesia, cardiorespiratory depression and unresponsiveness to noxious stimulation in unpremedicated cats. Hypoventilation and apnea were the most common side effects.
