e-Readers, Our Readers, and Electronic Collections: A Pilot Study at a National Laboratory Library

► Five dedicated e‐readers and the Apple iPad were evaluated. ► Many devices lacked the ability to display common features of scientific PDF documents. ► Many devices did not fully support activities such as highlighting and note-taking. ► Apple iPad was tested as the most compatible with existing Technical Library content.
