Эпизод из истории “Мусагета”: “Досье Э.К. Метнера о Vigilemus!”

The article is a historical reconstruction of Andrei Belyi's rupture both with the Musaget publishing house and with his closest friends, Ėllis and Emil Medtner. The conflict was provoked by Medtner's intention to publish an anti-Steinerian treatise, Vigilemus!, by Ėllis, against which Belyi and his anthroposophical friends protested. As a result, Belyi demonstratively left the Musaget editorial board, of which he was a member. The article is followed by an important document which throws light on this history, ‘Emil Medtner's File on Vigilemus!’. Special attention is given to the analysis of Medtner's struggles with censorship within Musaget, from both the anthroposophical side (Andrei Belyi) and the Catholic side (Ėllis).
