Transport policies centered on automobile measures hold an important key in realizing a sustainable society. It is often believed that Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) only serves to make the use of automobiles more convenient, but it is an extremely effective tool in appropriate automobile control and traffic demand management. This paper will introduce the state of sustainable cities utilizing ITS.
