Comparative Analysis of Certain Indices of the Existing Biological Models in European and Romanian Football

As part of Latin football, the Romanian football school is now going through serious transformations with the final aim of reducing differences between Romanian and European football. Over the last few years there has been a change in the training focus, from technical to physical and tactical preparation. Therefore, in this paper we tried to emphasize some details regarding the inherent qualities of the high performance football player. Thus we attempted to establish some fundamental characteristics which underlie the high performer's biological model. The paper makes an overview of the actual data obtained by football players belonging to different European schools. This information shall be the comparative element for the features characterizing players from great European teams and the features specific of players who regularly play in the Romanian First League. This comparative analysis was carried out by recording and analyzing several morpho-functional indices, presented by teams, positions and even football schools.
