Information Giving in a Health Emergency: An Analysis of Three H1N1 Web Pages

The internet has become an effective tool for the maintenance of people's health and well -being. One of the most popular search topics in health information websites is infectious diseases [1]. In 2009, the H1N1 flu virus caused many deaths around the world. This study aims to analyze and compare the content of health information on H1N1 influenza in the websites of the top three countries which were highly affected by the flu. The findings of this study highlight the importance of inf ormation giving in a health emergency and provide recommendations for improvements.
