Teaching Writing at FIM UHK

This article describes a Course of Academic Writing, which was designed both for the Czech and non-native students at the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. This is one of the blended language courses, which are taught not only traditionally (face-to-face) but also online. Therefore, students studying abroad or non-native students can participate in these courses. In the paper the structure of the course, which depicts how writing is taught, will be outlined. Moreover, special teaching practices, which foster student's motivation for attending this course, will be emphasized.
