Guiding the Individual along a “Life Long Pathway”: Recent Lessons Learned

Public health can be enhanced if our theory and practice on “mentoring” is discussed and implemented in all social institutions. We present a case of a patient having a terminal illness to illustrate our concerns about the importance of guidance. Guidance should be provided to individuals within a “life-long framework”.
