Factores institucionales de la disolución de la República Democrática Alemana 1945-1989

ResumenLa absorción de la República Democrática Alemana (RDA) dentro de la estructura institucional de la República Federal Alemana (RFA) en octubre de 1990, fue el resultado de la confluencia de tres factores: a) de la dinámica del orden bipolar internacional; b) de la peculiar organización del sistema de partidos y del carácter semisoberano de sus Estados; c) del carácter irrendentista de la política de la RFA hacia la RDA. Estas variables modelaron el formato del proceso de unificación en 1990, lo cual a su vez influyó sobre el proceso de cambio de régimen iniciado en 1989 e inhibió el proceso endógeno de democratización de la RDA.

The absorption of the GDR within the institutional structure of the FRG in October 1990 was the result of the confluence of three factors: a) the dynamics of the bipolar international order; b) the peculiar organization of their party systems and the nature of their semi-sovereign states; c) the irredentist nature of the policy of the FRG towards the GDR. These variables modeled the format of the unification process in 1990, which in turn influenced the process of regime change started in 1989 and inhibited the endogenous process of democratization of the GDR.
