La Virgen de Caacupé como símbolo de paraguayidad en Bariloche, Argentina (1970-2012)

ResumenEl presente trabajo busca indagar sobre las construcciones identitarias en torno a la Virgen de caacupé de los migrantes paraguayos en san carlos de Bariloche, ciudad rionegrina ubicada al noroeste de Patagonia, de los migrantes paraguayos. En función de ello, se analiza el traslado y refundación de la devoción mariana, y se hace hincapié en cómo la práctica religiosa se resignificó en el lugar de destino y cómo la devoción operó, desde la alteridad barilochense, en los procesos identitarios del grupo migrante.

This paper seeks to investigate the constructions of identity around the Virgin of caacupé of the Paraguayan migrants in san carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro city located to the northwest of Patagonia, of the Paraguayan migrants. Accordingly, the transfer and refounding of Marian devotion, with an emphasis on how religious practice is redefined in the place of destination and how devotion is operated, from the barilochense otherness, in the identity of the migrant group processes.
