EL IMAGINARIO DE LA SEGURIDAD EN LA FRONTERA SUR DE MÉXICO A PRINCIPIOS DEL SIGLO XXI

ResumenEl presente artículo analiza el imaginario social de la seguridad basado en la Doctrina de Seguridad Nacional respecto a las representaciones de la política de seguridad del Estado mexicano en la frontera sur de México a principios del siglo xxi. En primer lugar, se realiza una disertación acerca de la Doctrina de Seguridad Nacional como una representación del imaginario político de la seguridad en el plano teórico. Después se lleva a cabo un análisis de algunas representaciones sobre la política de cooperación internacional en materia de seguridad sobre las acciones de política exterior de México para contener las amenazas provenientes del exterior en la frontera sur del país. Y por último, se destaca la efectividad de la construcción del imaginario político de la seguridad fronteriza de México y el imaginario político de la Doctrina de Seguridad Nacional adoptada por nuestro país, para representar la vulnerabilidad de la frontera sur.

This article analyzes the social imagery of security based on the National Security Doctrine and its representations regarding the security policy of the Mexican State on the southern border of Mexico in the early xxist century. In regard, we firstly discuss the National Security Doctrine as a representation of the political imagery of security in theory. Secondly, we undertake an analysis of some representations of international cooperation policy regarding security that guide the actions of Mexico's foreign policy aimed at containing threats from abroad, which have been located on the southern border. Thirdly, we highlight the effectiveness of the construction of the political imagery of Mexican border security as an extension of the political imagery of the National Security Doctrine adopted by our country in order to represent the vulnerability of the southern border.
