The Growth Evaluation Model of Manufacturing SMEs and Application from System Engineering Perspective

As a national pillar industry, manufacturing Engineering strongly pushes the economy development of China. This paper, based on the improvement of existing enterprise growth evaluation method, establishes the evaluation model of manufacturing SMEs growth and verifies its validity. Empirical result from the growth study of 385 manufacturing SMEs listed in China indicates: (1) Quality of staff and capital availability contribute positively to the enterprise growth; (2) Enterprises with industrial advantages show comparatively high capability to grow; (3) Enterprises with regional development advantages grow faster.
