Property Analysis of Multiple Velocity Difference Model

Based on the numerical simulation, the traffic property of the multiple velocity difference model(MVD model) is analyzed in detail. It can be found that the delay time of car motion and the kinematic wave speed of the MVD model are reasonable, and the hysteresis loop can be obtained to describes the phase transition of traffic flow. In addition, the unrealistical high acceleration does not appear in the MVD model.
