Fragmentation reactions of an (n = 4-8) ions containing only alanine residues

- This work extends the extensive studies of peptide a4 ions to larger peptide a ions.
- The results show that for all-Ala a5 to a8 ions fragmentation occurs primarily from a rearranged protonated amide structure as has been found for peptide a4 ions.
