Sonochemical replication of chloroplast with titania for light harvesting

► Granum in chloroplast was replicated in titania using a sonochemical method. ► The exact replication of granum from micrometers down to nanometers. ► TiO2 replica made by ultrasonication demonstrated better light harvesting property. ► Morph-genetic TiO2 has great potential for the future use in DSSC.
