LiBa1.5[B5O8(OH)3]: A new 1-D metal borate chain constructed from B5O9(OH)36 − cluster units

A new mixed metal borate, LiBa1.5 [B5O8(OH)3], has been hydrothermally made, which consists of 1-D borate chains made of B5O9(OH)3 cluster units and further linked by Ba and Li atoms to form the 3-D framework.
