Highly thermal stable zinc complex with unusual (4,8)-connected topology

A new zinc complex [Zn(BTEC)1/2]n (1, BTEC = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate) was hydrothermal synthesized. It has highly thermal stability and exhibits rare non-interpenetrated (4,8)-connected net with (45 · 6)2(410 · 52 · 613 · 72 · 8) topology.
