A Keggin-type polyoxotungstate-coordinated diplatinum(II) complex: Synthesis, characterization, and stability of the cis-platinum(II) moieties in dimethylsulfoxide and water

► A Keggin-type polyoxotungstate-coordinated diplatinum(II) complex was synthesized. ► Two cis-platinum(II) moieties were coordinated each to two oxygen atoms with Cs symmetry. ► The cis-conformation was highly stable in dimethylsulfoxide and water.
