An unprecedented organic–inorganic hybrid compound [Cu5Cl(4,4′-bipy)5] [SiW12O40] · 1.5H2O (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG analyses, cyclic voltammetry and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. To our best knowledge, it is the first time that saturated Keggin-type polyoxoanions are covalently linked by trinuclear Cu(I) complex into a three-dimensional structure.
An unprecedented organic–inorganic hybrid compound [Cu5Cl(4,4′-bpy)5] [SiW12O40] · 1.5H2O, constructed from the covalent connection of [α-SiW12O40]4− clusters and polymeric [Cu5 Cl(4,4′-bpy)5]4− chains, was represented, which represents the first example in which saturated Keggin-type polyoxoanions are covalently linked by trinuclear Cu(I) complex into a three-dimensional structure.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
