Enantioselective conjugate addition of dialkyl phosphites to nitroalkenes

The Michael addition of dialkyl phosphites to nitroalkenes in the presence of heterobimetallic (S)-(−)-aluminum lithium bis(binaphthoxide), ALB, complex provided β-nitrophosphonates, precursors to β-aminophosphonic acids, in good to excellent enantioselectivities.
