Relationship between structure, fluxionality and racemization activity in organometallic derivatives of polyoxometalates

The catalytic activity of several organometallic derivatives of polyoxometalates, especially those of general formula [M4O16{M′(η6-arene)}4] (M = Mo, W; M′ = Ru, Os), was evaluated in the racemization of secondary alcohols. A link between composition, fluxionality and catalytic activity was established.
