Characterization of nine new polymorphic microsatellite markers in Artemia parthenogenetica

• Nine new polymorphic microsatellite markers were isolated in Artemia.
• These markers separated 5 Old World Artemia populations, either sexual or asexual.
• These will be valuable tools for population genetic studies in Artemia parthenogenetica.
