Synthesis and in vitro evaluation of substituted pyrimido[5,4-d]pyrimidines as a novel class of Antimycobacterium tuberculosis agents

Novel 3,8-disubstituted-pyrimido[5,4-d]pyrimidines were synthesized and evaluated against Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv. The new compounds showed activity against the bacilli that depends on the substituents present in N-3 and C-8.
