Smart Metering Deployment in Brazil

Smart meters are an emerging technological system, for which implementation requires solutions not only related to the engineering of the grid, but also policies and regulation from governments and agencies for its due implementation. Given the advanced position of the European Union in relation to Brazil, the aim is to compare their distinct policy and regulatory approaches, so as to inform what could possibly be transferred to Brazil for the development of its smart metering framework.
