Programming and Application of a Mobile Data Capture, Monitoring and Verification Instrument for Solar Thermal Installations in Southern Africa

South Africa was challenged to monitor dispersed SWHs installed by various independent players. GIZ South Africa cooperates with the Department of Energy and the South African Energy Development Institute in implementing a Geographic Information System. This was used jointly with SOLTRAIN to establish the Gauteng Solar Thermal Technology Flagship District.
