Perturbation of nilpotent semigroups and application to heat exchanger equations

It is shown that the nilpotency is preserved by the perturbed semigroup for a class of perturbation operators. The obtained result is applied to explain mathematically a thermodynamic phenomenon of some heat exchangers.
