Alternative and nuclear energy consumption–economic growth nexus for Israel: Evidence based on bootstrap-corrected causality tests

This paper examines the causal relationship among nuclear energy consumption, economic growth, capital and labor for Israel, over the period of 1985–2009 using a bootstrap-corrected causality. It is found that there exists unidirectional causality running from nuclear energy to GDP. Therefore, environmental policies to conserve nuclear energy consumption may weaken the economic growth and development in Israel.
