Deuterium recovery from H-D gas mixture by thermal diffusion in a multi-column device with column heights increased at a constant ratio

► The effect of column height variation on thermal diffusion performance in multi-columns has been investigated. ► The optimal column height ratio for recovery of deuterium from H-D gas mixture has been determined. ► Considerable improvement is obtained if the column heights increases at a constant ratio with total column heights fixed.
