Gershgorin and H theorems applied to collisional-radiative equilibrium model

Mathematical properties of the rate matrix appearing in the collisional-radiative model are presented. Using the Gershgorin theorem, it is shown that the eigenvalues of the rate matrix have a negative real part. An H theorem is established. Numerical applications are presented and discussed.
