Biperiodic orbital period modulation of the W UMa binary system CK Bootis

► We detect a secondary periodicity in the orbital period modulation of CK Boo. ► We analyse the cyclic magnetic activity as a cause of orbital period modulation. ► The visual companion of CK Boo is not involved in the orbital period variation.
