Ion-cyclotron waves in solar coronal hole

► We study the propagation characteristics of ion-cyclotron waves in coronal holes. ► We solve the Vlasov equation for O VI ions. ► The refractive index in the interplume lanes are higher than the ones in the plumes. ► The resonance process in the interplume lanes is more effective than in the plumes.
