Experimental analysis on MR fluid channel flow dynamics with complex fluid-wall interactions

► The dynamic response of MR fluid plugging and its breakdown in pressure mode with complex fluid/wall interactions is experimentally investigated. ► The inlet pressures at the breakdown of MR fluid plug are evaluated for acrylic and steel grooved walls in pressure flow mode under magnetic field. ► MR fluid plugging performance and the storage characteristic of a PVA tube as a bio-material are shown.
