Spatial particle correlations in light nuclei. I two-particle systems

► We study analytically the geometry of two-particle systems. ► We find relations of said geometry with quantum numbers. ► Dineutron and cigar configurations of 6He are pure p-shell geometric consequences. ► The two configurations have equal probability in the 0p shell. ► A short-range attractive interaction enhances the dineutron configuration.
