• On the basis of Anderson type models the Green's function for the epitaxial graphene (EG) formed on metal substrate, adsorbed layer and EG, covered by adsorbed layer are obtained.
• The adsorption-induced change of the EG static conductivity is found within the scope of the Kubo–Greenwood formalism.
• Numerical estimations fulfilled for the atomic hydrogen monolayer on the EG, formed on tungsten demonstrate that the change of the static conductivity is of the order of the EG conductivity in the absence of adsorbed layer.
A model for the adsorption-induced static conductivity variation for the adatoms – single layer graphene (SLG) – metal substrate system with account of the dipole–dipole repulsion in the adlayer has proposed. The obtained results have been applied to the H/SLG/W system. Numerical estimations have shown that the effect of the atomic hydrogen monolayer on the epitaxial graphene (SLG/W) conductivity σegσeg is of the order of σegσeg.
